That’s how we roll…

Posted by admin on 09 Mar 2010 | Tagged as: Paintball Guns

Interesting story over at 68Caliber. Part of it includes this:

“The best field I have ever played at had a three shot rule. The rule was that if you broke more than three shots on another player you were out as well. The rule worked very well, the refs enforced it, and over shooting was rarely ever an issue. This same field rabidly enforced the safety rules and would send a player home in a heartbeat if they violated them. I wish all fields were like this.”

I don’t think the author has been to T-Square but it’s been our rule since 1995.

Thinking inside a smaller box…

More on Tom Kaye’s mini compressor…

I’m trying so hard not to hate this guy. He’s a damn genius. I remember sitting and talking with him one time in a hotel lounge, trying to comprehend some of his engineering thoughts and thinking, “This guy is from another dimension in time.” It’s not so much that his ideas are unique or revolutionary so much as they are spot on. Timing, some say, is everything.

Look for this thing to hit the market sometime this summer – in both 3K and 4.5 K versions. No rice announced yet but I’m going to guess somewhere around $1200. What do you think?

Find the CO2 tank…

Posted by admin on 08 Mar 2010 | Tagged as: Paintball Guns

“Instead of doing the standard hydraulic setup that many people have done, Dany decided to minimize his use of wires and keep his bicycle at a reasonable weight, sacrificing the pump and batteries. He removed a CO2 tank off a paintball gun and used hard lines to run an air kit to the front, adding a 4-inch cylinder and a hidden compressor in the rear of the bike.” More here…

GI Milsim .50 cal Paintball in Stock!

Posted by admin on 04 Mar 2010 | Tagged as: Paintball Guns

50 cal Paintball is here! We’ve been anxiously awaiting the new GI Milsim Paintball guns, paintballs and gear. A new venture by the founders of Smart Parts, GI Milsim is in it to change the future of paintball. The idea is to bridge the gap between airsoft and traditional paintball, offering a smaller round that performs better offering an increase in accuracy and efficiency.

The new GI Milsim GI50 is reiminscent of the Smart Parts SP1 chambered for a .50 cal paintball. The GI50 features an electronic trigger frame that allows for Semi-Auto, 3 Burst and Full Auto. Internals are a spool valve design that functions at an ultra-low 160 psi operating pressure. Like the SP1, the GI50 has plenty of rail space for customizing and adding any combination of tactical accessories. A soft rubber grip and a 9″ specially threaded barrel are standard on the GI50.

G.I. Milsim Paintball Gun
All GI Milsim markers use .50 cal paintballs. These paintballs are considerably smaller and lighter than their .68 cal counterparts. This means more carrying capacity in your loader and your pods. GI Milsim has currently released the 3 Star 50 cal paintballs. Perfect for both scenario and tournament play, the 3 Star paintballs are GI Milsim’s mid-grade line of paint. Loading is also different in the 50cal world. You will need a hopper or electronic loader made specifically for the 50 cal paintballs. GI Milsim has released the GI-A340 Agitation Loader and also the gravity-fed GI-L350. With carrying capacity above 300 rounds in each, you’ll be well armed and equipped for some serious shooting.

Each GI Milsim paintball gun comes with a cd manual. The GI-50 manual is 31 digital pages and covers everything from basic operation, electronics programming to parts schematics. It’s a nice touch because it allows you to print out as many copies as you need. Look for both the GI Milsim GI-50 and FM-50 paintball guns from ROCKSTAR Tactical along all the 50 cal gear and paintballs.
